Sonya Cuellar is an entirely self-taught artist. Her sharp eye and intuitive relationship with color yield a distinctive body of work. Sonya is gaining attention as an emerging artist in and around the Houston area; most recently, her paintings were shown at the Jack Meier Gallery. As lead photographer for the food website Blue Jean Gourmet, Sonya?s photography has been regularly featured in the online galleries TasteSpotting and FoodGawker.Looking at her photographs makes it difficult to believe that Sonya is as new to photography as she is.
