Microsoft cuts price of Xbox 360 Spring Bundle to $249.99

If you still haven't bought an Xbox 360 console, Microsoft just made it a little easier today. The company has now cut the price of one of its bundle packages for the console down by $50, perhaps as a way to clear out some inventory before the launch of a new bundle.

The Microsoft Store website, along with other retailers like Best Buy and Amazon, are now showing a price of $249.99 for the Xbox 360 Spring Bundle, down from its original $299.99 price. The bundle includes the 250 GB version of the console, a wireless controller, a wireless headset, one free month of Xbox Live Gold, and two free games: the disc copy of Darksiders II and a downloadable code for the full version of Batman: Arkham City.

If you purchase the Spring Bundle from Amazon and Best Buy, both are also offering a $20 discount on a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold. Normally it would cost $59.99 but the retailers have a price of just $39.99 for the subscription with the purchase of any Xbox 360 console.

Microsoft is, of course, planning to launch the Xbox One sometime in November for $499.99. It's highly expected that the company will cut the prices of all of the Xbox 360 consoles across the board when we get closer to the launch.
