Those that follow me know I lost my eye to skin cancer last year. Here is a update on my progress. Six months after the eye extraction and after 30 radiation treatments I was fitted for a prosthesis.
After close to two months of daily use I decided not wear the prosthesis anymore. Why?? Personal choice.? Plus, I kept getting slapped. Somehow all the women at the Big Chill figured out I wasn?t looking them straight in their eyes.

The next picture is without the prosthesis and with one of my creative eye patches?yes it?s the CBS EYE!

I understand the patch look isn?t for everyone but I like it! FYI ? Looking like a walking CBS billboard is just my way of dealing with the effects of my cancer and eye loss. Laughter has been a good form of therapy for me.
Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month I would like to remind all the ladies and men to get your yearly breast exam. Plus, don?t forget your skin. Most cancers including the skin cancer I lost my eye to, can not only be disfiguring but deadly.? Early detection could save your life like it did mine!
If you or a loved one has cancer please know that I am here for you. I have walked the road you are on. Here is my email scott@myq105.com if you need a friend to talk to.
