Diavik Diamond Mines (DDMI) owns Rio Tinto's interest in and manages the unincorporated Diavik diamonds joint venture in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Mining takes place in the lake bed at Lac de Gras with water held back by a dike made of rock fill. With approximately 800 employees, Diavik is instrumental in making Canada the world's third largest diamond producer by value. Diavik has won awards for its sensitive management of environmental and community issues.

This is a temporary position. ? Reporting to the Superintendent, HR Planning & Systems, the?Coordinator HR Systems will?work?at the Yellowknife Corporate Office on a five (5) days on / two (2) days?off rotational basis. The Coordinator, HR Systems is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of the various systems and processes managed by the Human Resources Department in providing support and services to our key customers. ? The Coordinator HR Systems will be responsible for, but not limited?to the following:
- Liaise with Shared Services regarding Ellipse user access.
- Maintain Ellipse Establishment & HR Modules and provide help desk support to customers, as required.
- Provide advanced training on HR Ellipse leave management to leave administrators.
- Provide support for payroll processing as needed; including documentation verification, coding, system data entry, and statement distribution.
- Leave System Coordinator; includes leave audits, entering New Hires and Terminated employees/contractors, administer rotation changes, all manual and hierarchy adjustments, calculation of STA/LTA/MAT leave and creating new positions for contractors.
- Annual leave payout coordinator for personal leave and annual leave (pulling reports, coordinating spreadsheets among leave administrators, collecting the data, entering it on a master and forwarding for payout).
- Maintain and administer HR form development, update & publishing.
- Provide monthly labour analysis to Finance department.
- Prepare HR management statistical reports in a timely manner for Rio Tinto (London) the joint venture partners, DDMI Senior Leadership and Management Teams.
- Adhoc reporting for all DDMI & Contractor information.??
The successful candidate will be one whose #1 priority is safety in the work place. ? The incumbent will have:
- A post-secondary diploma related to Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working across a range of Human Resources Generalist functions.
- Previous IS&T or systems experience would be an asset.
